Accessibility limitations

The upper room is one flight of stairs up beyond lift access, so is not accessible for wheelchair users and those with very limited mobility. There will be opportunities to pray in accessible spaces in the building on Saturday (where stations from the prayer room will be duplicated down in the café space) and during some hosted sessions - check back on this page for details.

Hosted Sessions

There will be sessions where one of our core team will be in attendance and anyone is free to show up to access the prayer room without booking. More details coming soon…

Timings & Building access

Each session starts on the hour. Unless it is a hosted session where the door will be open, access to the building depends on using the Prayer Room doorbell (clearly labelled on the leftmost door to the building). This will alert the current occupants of the room to let you in. If you arrive early please do not ring the bell until 2 minutes to the hour, so as not to cut short the current session. Remember it will take them a couple of minutes to pack up and come down 2 floors to let you in so please be patient!

If for some reason there is no one already in the prayer room (eg. cancelled sick) there will be an emergency contact on call to get you in (details will be here).

What is a 24-7 prayer room?

A 24-7 prayer room normally operates around the clock and has a number of “stations”, each with a creative prayer actvity. There will be art materials in case you’re feeling creative, or you can just chill out in the wigwam or sit by the cross. You can pray for the town while looking over it through the giant windows - there are so many different approaches to prayer ready for you to try, often revealing God’s voice in ways we haven’t experienced. Come and unlock your prayer life - an hour can often seem like 10 minutes, so you’ll probably want to book another slot (don’t worry there are 168 slots, and 3am is often available…)
