John Hurrell, Senior Pastor
John has had an unconventional “career”, from developing IT systems for Mars to being a full-time dad to 2 (now grown up) kids, with a couple of years of part-time ministry training along the way. He’s spent 14 years on 2 large house renovations, and 15 years as a professional photographer, running his own studio. He has many years of church leadership team experience, and has headed up various ministries, including being a volunteer Youth Pastor back in the day. More recently he and Sarah spent a year doing Vineyard’s inaugural part-time Leadership College, and they are currently finishing up a year studying 24-7 Prayer’s Leadership Pathway. John enjoys music, theatre, reading (even theology) and walking… but mostly really complex strategy board games.
Sarah Hurrell, Senior Pastor
Sarah is an accomplished senior manager specialising in operations and transformation. She has worked for companies large and small such as ICL, Orange and BP, as well as running IT procurement for the Cabinet Office. She loves to travel, and has volunteered in Sri Lanka for a year, and worked in Japan for 2 years (she still remembers enough Japanese to surprise tourists!) More recently her love of trekking has taken her to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal and the Inca Trail in Peru. When at home Sarah enjoys pottering round her “happy place” (the allotment) or reading. Fortunately she shares John’s love of strategy board games.
